Pilgrim Congregational Covenant

We pledge to seek justice, to oppose violence, racism, sexism, fear of differences, economic inequity, and abuse of power, and substitute acts of goodwill and caring; To feed the hungry, to nurture the ill, and to prevent cruelty to any of God’s children or any of God’s Creatures. We pledge ourselves to welcome people of all sexual orientations into the full life and ministry of the church.

Pilgrim Congregational UCC strives to life out it’s covenant in various ways. The church runs a food pantry, participates in the work of Greater Cleveland Congregations, offers Our Whole Lives education in collaboration with others, walks in Cleveland Pride, and supports and partners with various organizations both locally and globally.

To whom much is given, much is expected: By reflecting the love of God that we have received, we are called to empower Pilgrim members and friends to intentionally show radical love and to bring about peace, justice and love within our congregation, community and world.

Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ is a Just Peace and Open and Affirming Church.
