Pilgrim Congregational UCC participates in and/or sponsors programs in the community and contributes to various community and civic projects in our neighborhood, many of which are run by other organizations.

Here are a few examples:

• Merrick House: Sponsor a Christmas gift drive for children at Merrick House
• Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival: Set up a booth with an activity at this festival held in Lincoln Park every September.
• Tremont West Development Corporation: Host sponsored activities such as a Tremont Tree Giveaway and block club meetings. The Pilgrim Food Pantry is also a recipient of TWDC’s annual food drive.
• Board of Elections: Serve as a polling place for elections.

The Board of Faith Formation and Discipleship also chooses 8-12 organizations a year to support financially on behalf of the congregation. We also have many Community Partners and space users, who hold programs, services, and rehearsals in our building.
