Pilgrim Church’s Board of Mission Empowerment is pleased to announce the launch of its 1503 initiative - its year-long campaign to recruit 150 volunteers to each perform 150 hours of service in Pilgrim’s 150th year. What’s a better way to commemorate Pilgrim’s 150th anniversary than to rededicate ourselves to Pilgrim’s mission? Our commitment to what equates to about 3 hours of service each per week, works out to over 22,000 hours in total for the congregation. That’s almost 11 work years! The service hours can be in support of anything you’re passionate about: in the community, in the schools, for the environment, or at Pilgrim. Throughout the year, the Mission Empowerment Board will share information on a variety of volunteer and service opportunities.
