Pilgrim Tour of Cleveland’s Hope Center for Refugees and Immigrants
January 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us for a tour of Cleveland’s Hope Center on Wednesday, January 17, at 6pm. Located at 15135 Triskett Rd (Gateway West Church) in West Park, the Hope Center is a hub for refugee and immigrant adults and children of many cultures. You’ll see volunteer tutors working with children, and adults taking English classes or practicing for the citizenship test.
Luanne Bole-Becker will host the tour, and leaders of the center will be available for questions. It’s a great opportunity to meet some of our newest neighbors, explore volunteer opportunities, and identify new resources. RSVP to the office (216-861-7388 or firstname.lastname@example.org) if possible by Sunday, January 15 to let us know you’re coming!
Note: The parking lot at the Hope Center tends to be full, so carpooling is helpful. We will work to arrange and designate additional parking nearby if the group is large.
Afterwards, you have the option to debrief the experience together at a new refugee-run Himalayan Restaurant on 13124 Lorain Rd, just 5 minutes away. To learn more about the Hope Center and BHITC, visit buildinghopeinthecity.org.
